My enduring obsession is understanding the purpose and aims of businesses in order to develop a plan that ensures resources are well deployed to deliver maximum impact.

With 20 years' experience in a variety sectors - media, charity and retail - I've spent my career at the coalface of the digital revolution, evolving strategic direction, solving challenging business problems - navigating fundamental disruption in the way we work, play and socialise.  

I'm really proud to have worked in the small 'bunker team' that conceived and built The Times paywall and the award-winning iPad app; I've launched new products and designed content strategies and campaigns; I've turned around departments and built new business units; I've led large digital change programmes and multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and agencies to deliver customer and brand value.

Core to my approach is that digital is part technical and part human; strategy needs to take a holistic view in order to succeed.

My style is facilitative - you know more about your business and customers than I do; I won’t present you with whizzy ‘pre-fab’ plans because, unless a strategy responds to the key priorities of your business, those plans are unlikely to deliver value. 

What I bring is a trove of experience, a range of frameworks and a systemic perspective to ensure that we’re asking the best questions in order to get to the best answers.
